Terms and conditions of collection and use of personal information

Privacy Policy

The HJIT abides by the “Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.” of the Republic of Korea, and values personal information of the customers, and therefore, would like to introduce its Privacy Policy by which the personal information provided by customers are used and for what purposes, along with its protection schemes of personal information. Any changes and enhancement to the Privacy Policy will be notified via the HJIT website (or by individual Notices).

- The current version of Privacy Policy will be enforced on January 1st, 2016.

Purpose of Collection & Utilization of Personal Information

The HJIT collects personal information of customers for the following purposes

Personal identification for Customers’ Voices; User identification; Prevention of illicit or unauthorized utilization of personal information; Management of Customers’ Requests and Complaints; Notification; Statistics on Service Utilization

Duration for Retention & Utilization of Personal Information

HJIT destroys personal information of customers immediatly once the purpose for retaining and utilizing of such information is achieved.

As a rule, the HJIT destroys the personal information once the purpose for retaining and utilizing of such information is achieved, by the following process and methods of destruction.

Process for Destruction of Personal Information

The information you made input to use the Customers’ Voices section is moved to a separate DB once it achieved its intended purpose(s) (when the request is made by paper letters or documents, these letters or documents are moved to a separate file cabinet), and stored for a limited duration stipulated by internal guidelines and related national laws, before destruction (please consult “Duration for Retention & Utilization of Personal Information” for more information).

Methods for Destruction of Personal Information

Once achieved its purpose(s), personal information in the format of electronic files will be deleted by the technical methods that prevents such records from being restored.

Prior Consents of the Users

The personal information may be required by the related legislation, or by the investigation agencies for the purpose of criminal investigation, according to the processes and methods as stipulated by the related laws.

Consignment of Personal information

The HJIT, without prior consent of the customers, does not consign the personal information it collected to the third party; however, when the need arises in the future, the HJIT will notify the customers on the agent and nature of the information consignment, and will receive additional prior consents if needed.

Installation and Operation of, and Rejection against, the Cookies

The HJIT Website does not operate any devices, such as cookies, that collect personal information automatically generated by accessing Internet services.
